Feel Better Now - Ask Me How

Feel Better Now - Ask Me How

Do you want to feel better?

Do you really want to feel better?

No really, do you?

Who would you be if you felt better?

How would your life change?

What story would you tell when you meet up with friends?

How would you feel if you actually felt better than you have in years?

Hey, Sharon, what's with all the questions?

I've been thinking about how some people I know that have gotten better and others don't seem to change no matter what they try. I realized that the emotions of the trauma were never addressed. I also noticed that they really enjoyed telling their story.  I get it, I've enjoyed that too.

There's something about having someone ask you how you are and then settling in to listen to your story.  It's almost magical and it can carry you away in your mind reliving the event, the hurt, the still open wound.  Well actually, how can we expect the wound to heal when we keep bringing up the drama of the trauma?

If we think about it, the story gets us some attention.  Maybe the kind of attention that we were lacking prior to the great incident. When someone gives us the opportunity to be heard, looks us right in the eyes and leans in attentively, we really don't want to let them go.  That kind of loving act is few and far between in this crazy hectic world.  But it doesn't have to be that way.

It's time we invite friends into our lives again, sit down with some tea and lean into their story, gazing into their eyes with compassion for their journey and think about how it came to be that their story has healing powers for us as we extend a life preserver to them in their time of need.

So, I say to you - Feel Better Now, Ask Me How

Let's chat, face to face, eye to eye, leaning in, running the energy scans or doing Bowenwork because both are highly beneficial for clearing stories of old wounds.
